Ring In Spring With Verdant Vibes

{ Sunday, April 23rd } Verdant Vibes Ensemble in Providence ushers in spring with its eclectic Spring Festival.

The aptly named Verdant Vibes, Rhode Island’s new music ensemble and concert series based in Providence, is just as happy to welcome spring as we are. So happy, in fact, that they are having a Spring Festival to celebrate. As the final concert of their second season, the festival will include a mash of acoustic, electronic, and multimedia performance pieces. The Verdant Vibes Ensemble will perform chamber music, including the world premiere of For Anna Atkins by Kirsten Volness, and Jacob Richman’s Ephemeroptera for accordion and double bass. Additionally, students from Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts will also present a program including a collaboratively composed piece created with members of Verdant Vibes. Special guest artists Orion Rigel Dommisse, an electro-pop-folk singer/songwriter from Providence, and Square Peg Round Hole, a rock-driven percussion trio from Philadelphia, will play original sets as well. What a dreamy way to put winter to rest.
